About Me
I grew up in the town of Middlesex, New Jersey with my parents and two brothers. When I was five years old I started taking dance lessons and I've never stopped dancing. I have also always loved to read and write. My favorite book as a child, "Charlotte's Web," is still my favorite book today.
It was when I started reading picture books to my children that I felt compelled to write and submit my work to magazine and book publishers. I spent endless hours on the Internet and at the library learning everything I could about writing. It wasn't long before I joined the Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators. After I attended my first writing conference, I was hooked. Truth is, I became obsessed!
It was only a few months after I started writing that I received my first acceptance. I was thrilled to find out that Babybug magazine was going to publish my poem, "Playground Fun."
I write every day and I'm always working on something new while polishing something old. I write a wide variety of poetry, fiction, nonfiction and picture book material.
I love working with children, whether it's teaching them new dance steps or reading to them in a classroom. I hope both my dancing and writing will teach, inspire, and touch each child in some way just as each child teaches, inspires, and touches me.
